On this episode of BlockChannel, McKie and Dr. Petty are back, even though this episode was filmed in December before Christmas. We finally go in-depth with HandyOSS, the all-in-one suite for building on a cohesive DWeb enable stack. Alex Smith breaks down the HandyOSS teams motivations for building HandyHost (of which Steven McKie is also a part of), and details how and why these abstractions were necessary to bridge crypto to the future. Alex Smith is an ex-NASA/JPL engineer, “computational physicist”, and all around brilliant polymath who is ensnared by the ethos of equality and self-soverignty. They also discuss future plans for building systems that will hybridize the emerging decentralized web with permaculture and food sustainablity.
